South Indian superstar Rajinikanth's much-awaited fantasy flick Endhiran (Robot), being directed by Shankar with Aishwarya Rai as the heroine, was expected to grace screens on September 3. But according to latest reports, the film has been postponed to September 24 because of last minute patchworks.

“Endhiran has 1500 graphical shots – a record in Indian cinema. If a movie has heavy graphics works like this, obviously it would be delayed," a source commented.
There are reports that the film will release in 2000 screens worldwide, the highest ever for a Tamil film. With a budget of Rs. 200 crores, Endhiran is also the costliest Tamil film ever made.

After the release of Endhiran, Rajinikanth may take a break and then commence the works of his daughter Soundarya's animation film Sultan - The Warrior, which has been in the making for the last couple of years.
